The vines are on the border of Moulin-à-Vent and have a similar structure to that cru compared to most Fleurie. The name "tardive" is misleading and often causes confusion. The grapes were not late-harvested. The cuvée consists of the estate's oldest vines and the wine always benefits from time, usually a few years, before showing its true potential.

Vinous

Deep, bright-rimmed ruby. Powerful, mineral-accented red and blue fruit scents, along with suave floral and exotic spice flourishes. Juicy and penetrating on the palate, offering bitter cherry, boysenberry and violet pastille flavors and lavender and black tea notes that build with aeration. Closes with strong, incisive thrust, building tannins and impressive persistence, leaving sappy berry and floral notes behind.
