“JJ” Bourgogne Blanc is a tribute to Jean Jacques Vincent, winemaker Antoine Vincent's father, who has managed the family domaine of Château Fuissé for 40+ years. This is a distinctive, complex white wine made exclusively from the southern part of Burgundy near Mâcon and Pouilly Fuissé. The Mâconnais area offers naturally rich soils with a high proportion of clay which leads to a wine rich in mineral character.
Summer temperatures are generally higher in the Mâcon than than in northern Burgundy, affording the wines rich and ripe fruit character and soft acidity. The full maturity of the skins adds an extra dimension to the grapes, a ripe exotic character, with hints of brioche. To preserve the fresh fruit characters, 70% of the wine is vinified in stainless steel tanks with the remainder sees about 6 months in oak barrels.

A lovely brilliance in color greets the taster followed by a fresh, ripe nose with citrus, brioche and white flower notes. Dry, smooth and delicious on the palate with lovely white peach and pear flavors followed by subtle mineral and vanilla accents. Overall, this has the perfect balance of depth, ripeness, acidity and finesse.
