Marchesi de' Frescobaldi Chianti Classico Tenuta Perano 2016
A coveted estate of Frescobaldi, Tenuta Perano is located in the heart of Chianti Classico in Gaiole and enjoys exceptional climate and soil. The vineyards are located 500 meters above sea level, well above the altitude common for red variety grapes, especially Sangiovese with its late maturation phase. It enjoys a natural amphitheatre, with southwest exposure, ideal for capturing heat and light. Steep slopes and stony soils characterize this particular landscape, creating healthy air movement and ideal terroir for Sangiovese. A magical land that expresses an elegant vibration and an intense note of fruit through its fine wines.
Made from 100% handpicked grapes, Tenuta Perano Chianti Classico 2016 stands out for its bright purple color. Its bouquet alternates between floral aromas and notes of wild berries and cherry. Balsamic nuances and a subtle spiciness follow. The freshness and tannic texture add an element of surprise, elegantly caressing and slowly filling the palate. The intense and persistent finish leaves the palate clean and fresh.

Wine SpectatorA beautiful expression of ripe black cherry, black currant and violet notes, accented by graphite, tobacco and tar hints. Shows muscle, with some grip on the finish. Best from 2020 through 2030.
