Chateau Les Miaudoux Bergerac Rouge 2016
Imported by Burgundy maven Becky Wasserman, this lovely surprise from Southwest France (near Bordeaux) is made of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot. From the region of Bergerac which is primarily known for whites, we were very impressed with the taste of this red from certified organic and biodynamic vines. The soils at Les Miaudoux are composed of boulbene clay and sand, giving the wine both roundness and delicacy. Bottled unoaked to preserve its freshness and elegance, this red has a natural weightiness with 14% alcohol.
