Shelter Butcher Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
Shelter is an exciting Napa Valley project which boasts Bob Foley as winemaker who started making wines in Napa Valley in 1977. He started making the wines at Pride Mountain in 1992 and stayed with the family for 15 years. During this period, he also created the highly acclaimed Switchback Ridge, Hourglass, Paloma, School House, and Engel Family wines. He now focuses on Robert Foley Vineyards, Shelter and Switchback Ridge. Bob sources fruit from the best of the best in Napa Valley. Shelter Butcher is rich, full fruited, with plenty of grip and extract. It you have ever tasted Bob’s other wines you can easily see his style throughout this wine with its firm tannin, silky nature, and a beautiful display of oak and mocha notes wrapped up in a full bodied package. It really is a serious wine for a fair price. The normal price on this wine is 59.99.
