Chateau la Chapelle aux Moines Saint Emilion Grand Cru 2015
The La Chapelle aux Moines vineyard dates back to the 19th century and has been owned by the same family since its creation. It is located on the eastern slopes of Saint Emilion on Bordeaux's Right Bank, thus offering a perfect location for sun exposure. The clay soil in this part of Saint-Emilion contributes to its fruity and expressive wines, with a beautiful texture in the mouth. The 2015 is a blend of 80% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Franc and 7% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged for 12 months in 25% (vats) and 75% (French oak barrels). The casks are 25% new, 25% one year barrels, 25% two year barrels and 25% three year barrels. Pair this classic Bordeaxu with lamb, steaks and chicken, or with charcuterie, Comte Gruyere, Dijon mustard and dark olives.

James SucklingVery impressive dark cherries, blueberries, plums and violets with dark-roasted meats and spicy oak. The palate has density and depth, while plush blueberry and plum flavors fold and build to a sturdy finish. Drink or hold.
Wine EnthusiastThis 19th-century estate is situated on Saint-Émilion's east side. With its ripe spiciness and firm wood flavors it has all the structure needed for aging. That contrasts well with the bold black fruits and perfume from the Cabernet Franc. Drink this wine from 2023. CELLAR SELECTION
