Ferrari-Carano Chardonnay 2021

Natalie West made this brisk 2021 chardonnay. While most of the lots went through malolactic conversion, providing a smooth and creamy texture, and 25 percent of it aged in new French oak barrels, providing edges of spice, the wine sustains its freshness as it opens up from cellar temperature.

Ultrasmooth and creamy, this wine offers abundant vanilla, poached pear and light buttery flavors, but the mouth-filling and palate-clinging texture sets it apart. This is just the “regular” bottling in the winery's lineup.

Aromas of lemon curd, flint and crushed stones. Medium-bodied with bright acidity and a slightly nutty character. Flint and rounded citrus carry through onto the palate with a soft finish.
