Fattoria di Felsina Spumante Brut Metodo Classico
This dry Italian sparkling wine is made with 60% Sangiovese, 20% Pinot Nero and 20% Chardonnay. Handpicked grapes are sourced from the Felsina estate in Castelnuovo Berardenga, on the southern border of the Chianti Classico denomination, from soils that are a mix of limestone, marl and sandstone. Made traditionally with the time-honored (and time-consuming) Methode Champenoise method (unlike Prosecco), this Brut sparkling will stand shoulder to shoulder with fine Champagne and French Cremant de Loire sparkling wines. It is also made with zero dosage, so there is no sugar added in the production.
The wine appears a luminous straw yellow tending towards green, and releases a long lingering bead of very fine bubbles. The bouquet is crisp and delicate, with emphatic floral and fruit notes, along with impressions of Golden Delicious apples and fresh baked bread. The palate is dry, full-flavored, and very well balanced. A fresh acidity drives the lengthy finish hinting of tropical fruits.

Wine AdvocateThe NV Metodo Classico Brut is a fragrant and expressive sparkling wine from Tuscany. The bouquet offers a medley of stone fruit and citrus aromas with baked bread and fresh baguette at the back. The mouthfeel is round and generous. It is definitely on the more robust side of the Metodo Classico style spectrum.
