Pressed rose, camphor, woodland berry, dark spice and new leather are just some of the aromas you'll find on this fragrant red. Radiant, structured and boasting finesse.

The Fratelli Serio & Battista Borgogno 2017 Barolo presents a classic and traditional approach with lean texture and bright red fruits. This hot-vintage expression is nicely layered and soft with plenty of primary intensity. It closes with a lean and dusty texture and an immediate and open personality. You could put this well-priced bottle aside to drink at the 10-year mark. 6,500 bottles were released.

The 2017 Barolo is lifted with floral aromas of pomegranate, cinnamon, and fresh violets. The palate is tangy and linear with dried cranberry, bitter-orange zest, clove, and dusty tannins on the finish. A vibrant and classic style, drink 2022-2036.

The 2017 Barolo is exquisitely beautiful. Soaring, floral aromatics are immediately enticing. Bright red berry fruit, spice, cedar, sweet pipe tobacco and earthy notes flesh out as this gracious, mid-weight Barolo shows off its considerable charms. There is a good bit of young Barolo tannin, but the 2017 should be ready to go with minimal cellaring. It is a joyous wine.
