Situated in the south of the Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet is one of the five villages that make up the prestigious Côte des Blancs. At altitudes varying from 250 to 350 meters, the vineyards benefit from exposures ranging from east to south and southwest and the wine comes mainly from marly limestone soils. After a long fermentation in tanks, the wine is aged in barrel before bottling. All of the whites are made of 100% Chardonnay. This has is a deeply colored, full-bodied white wine of depth and intensity with a persistent, earthy finish. An excellent companion to fish, shellfish, poultry and cheeses, or with rich buttery sauces.
Wine EnthusiastThis village wine comes from a number of growers who supply Jadot on a regular basis. It is bold and ripe with citrus and white stone fruits as well as plenty of acidity. Its rounded character will show more strongly as it ages. Drink from 2020.
