For over 370 years and 13 generations the Hugel family has been producing classic wines of Alsace in the northeast corner of France. Known across the globe for their commitment to quality and served at the finest restaurants, today Hugel is represented by our young friend Jean Frédéric Hugel. We tasted and loved this Hugel 'Classic' Pinot Noir which is unoaked and boasting 12% alcohol, making it elegant and fresh as well as ripe and structured. This is a very good example of Pinot Noir from Alsace, typical of what you would

Wine EnthusiastA lovely, clean and aromatic lift of ripe red cherries is instantly appetizing. The palate is full of juicy fruit but structured with slightly rustic but smoothed-out tannins and a bright lively freshness. This is honest fresh-faced fruit-driven Pinot Noir without any pretentiousness that is a joy to drink.
