We visited the Norton winery in Argentina several years ago and were very impressed with the entire winery and its classic range of wines. The Malbec Reserva is made from carefully selected grapes from vineyards more than 30 years old. The wine is aged in French oak barrels and then additionally in bottles before release. The harmonious coexistence of fruit and wood smooth out over time .

Wine AdvocateThe 2013 Reserva Malbec is a 50/50 blend of grapes from Uco and Luján. The nose has lactic aromas intermixed with sweet spices, ripe fruit and some flowers. The soft palate has a sweet texture, good tension and acidity with nicely integrated oak. They have reduced the oak in all their wines since 2011. One million bottles are produced. This is the bestseller of the winery.

Wine EnthusiastThis screaming violet-colored chunkster is big and blocky up front, with aromas of vitamins and grapy black fruits. A giant palate holds big tannins, while heady flavors of black plum and oak spice finish minty, toasty and with power.
