Hugel Riesling 2018
For over 370 years and with 13-family generations the Hugel family has produced beautiful classic wines of Alsace. Known today for their passion and modern outlook, the dynamic Hugel family, located in the fortified village of Riquewihr, has earned a worldwide reputation for their Alsace wines. The grapes used to produce Hugel's Classic Rieslings come exclusively from estate owned vineyards or from growers under long term contract surrounding the village of Riquewihr. Made with sustainable farming practices and Clay and Limestone soils, the average age of the vines is 20+ years. 2016 is a classic vintage for current drinking or aging. Look for ripe stone fruit, green apple, mineral and ripe lemon zest complexities in this aromatic and exquisitely balanced Riesling. Fresh and totally thirstquenching, this is an outstanding example of dry Riesling.

Wine EnthusiastIn this wine, a hint of lemon zest on the nose is followed by traces of apple and Mirabelle plum. On the palate, this triple notion of fruit unites into vibrant juiciness and lovely balance on a light, bright body. The finish is refreshing and dry.
