The Russian River Valley in Sonoma County has a cool climate, by virtue of its proximity to the Pacific Ocean. The climate here is heavily influenced by the cooling effect of the fog flowing in from the Pacific only a few miles away to the west. The fog drops temperatures by up to 40 degrees, allowing full grape maturity over an longer period of time than other AVA’s & preserves natural acidity. The climate and famous Goldridge loam soils converge, creating a great region particularly for the cool climate Pinot Noir.

Castle Rock Winery has been dedicated to making delicious, hand-crafted wines from top quality West Coast appellations for over 20 years. Napa Valley, Sonoma County, Carneros, Mendocino County, Monterey County, Paso Robles, Oregon’s Willamette & Washington’s Columbia Valleys are all represented at Castle Rock.

Wine EnthusiastA good value for the quality, this wine is smooth and velvety. Easy drinking, it offers an integrated texture dotted in dark cherry, allspice and plum. Full bodied, it remains soft and approachable from start to finish.
