La Dame de Malescot is the second wine of the illustrious Château Malescot Saint-Exupéry in Margaux. Boasting a dark ruby color with violet reflections, the 2010 vintage is a terrific year to discover this fine bargain from one of Bordeaux's most sought after appellations. The indulgent bouquet is rich with fruity and spicy notes on a tobacco background. Fine plum and a touch of chocolate emerge on the palate. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, this is juicy, with good complexity and well-integrated tannins. This wine has strong aging potential, and should improve through 2020-2025. The Zuger purchased Château Malescot Saint-Exupéry in 1955. Today, the property is a sought-after producer of rich, pure, and aromatic Margaux wines. As the second wine of the estate, La Dame de Malescot offers a great opportunity to sample the impressive style of Château Malescot Saint-Exupéry.
