Faustini is the Napa Valley passion project of our friends Anthony and Michelle Faustini. After much research during the summer of 2005, this enthusiastic couple started their first Cabernet project with fruit sourced from the illustrious Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard in St. Helena, and never looked back. Their winemaker Kian Tavakoli worked at both Opus One and Clos du Val, and is a graduate of UC Davis. With Faustini wines, it's all about using prime vineyard sites and crafting rich, balanced, elegant wines. In addition to sourcing Beckstoffer Dr. Crane, they use fruit from Galleron Road Vineyard in Rutherford, Howell Mountain and Coombsville Vineyard in Napa Valley.
First planted in 1967, according to longtime owner Mrs. Pat Haynes, this site has been continually farmed since then on its original rootstock - making it one of Napa Valley's oldest Chardonnay Vineyards to be farmed this way. The Chardonnay sourced for this Faustini wine is from its original rootstock, sitting on a bed of volcanic soils which make way for the wonderful brightness and complexity.

Offering a beautiful nose of caramelized orchard fruits, lemon curd, charcoal, and honeyed flowers. Medium-bodied on the palate, with terrific overall balance and nicely integrated acidity, this is a terrific Chardonnay with loads of class.
