Sean Minor 4 Bears Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
The Paso Robles AVA is located in San Luis Obispo County half way between Los Angeles and San Francisco along California’s Central Coast. With day-to-night temperature swings greater than any other appellation in California, Paso Robles is a unique wine region with distinct microclimates, diverse soils and a long growing season. These aspects provide optimal growing conditions for producing exceptional wines. A long growing season of warm days and cool evenings give rise to vibrantly ripened fruit with dynamic flavor profiles.
Typically made of more than 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, with Petite Sirah and Merlot, Sean Minor Four Bears Paso Robles Cabernet is ruby in color with red fruit, floral and cedar aromas. Ripe flavors of raspberries and blue fruit nuances combine to create a rich mouthfeel. The soft tannins and sweet oak balance lead to a long and lingering finish. Grapes from sites throughout Paso Robles were harvested at optimal maturity, then de-stemmed and gently crushed into closed-top stainless steel fermenters, at warm temperatures, to fully extract color and flavor. The fermented wine then was racked to oak for aging. During the aging process the wine lots were tasted throughout and blended back together just before bottling.
