Wine AdvocateFrom the Central Coast, Kimberly has produced a 2013 Pinot Noir Rita's Crown, which comes from two Dijon clones, 115 and 667. The wine was aged in 100% new French oak, split between Francois Frres and Gamba and 100% of the fruit was destemmed. With this wine, Kimberly seems to have nailed the elusive character of Pinot Noir in spades. A terrific, voluptuous mouthfeel, loads of sexy plum, Asian spice, black cherry and blackcurrant fruit are present in this medium to full-bodied, pure wine, which has absorbed all of its oak with seeming ease. Textured, lush and pure, this is another beauty to drink over the next decade or more.
