Les Domaines Robert Vic Comtesse de Marion Chardonnay 2016

SKU 03012

The Vic family is a family of fifth generation wine growers situated in a 13th century Château neighboring the Mediterranean Sea in the Languedoc region of southern France. Their guiding philosophy is simple: invest the majority of their time and energy working the vineyards to develop the best quality fruit from which their wines are produced. They farm using neither pesticides nor chemical fertilizers and use only fruit grown on the estate.

The Chardonnay 'Comtesse de Marion' is vinified in stainless steel, temperature-controlled tanks in order to preserve the aromas and flavors achieved with the family’s dedication and commitment to the vineyard work. To further preserve the wine’s freshness and liveliness, malolactic fermentation is blocked. The result is a wine both refreshing and pleasingly round in texture, a Chardonnay that displays nice complexity, for not a very high price.. Classic Chardonnay notes of citrus, apple and peach were found in the aromas and flavors. Clean, crisp, dry and thirst quenching, this will be a particularly good Chardonnay for Spring and Summer enjoyment as an aperitif or with salads, cold shellfish dishes and grilled chicken topped with peach or mango salsa.
