Seven Stones winery is a 45-acre winery estate nestled within the Meadowood Resort in St. Helena, just above the Meadowood Resort. Ron and Anita Wornick originally purchased the undeveloped plot as a family estate, planting a single acre of Cabernet Sauvignon in 1996 and building a jewel-box winery with recreational family winemaking in mind. Over time, it became evident that the property, surrounded by some of Napa’s most prized vineyards, possessed the well-drained, rocky, volcanic soils that could produce world-class wine. Aaron Pott was hired as winemaker, and the inaugural release, the 2005 Seven Stones Cabernet Sauvignon, received high critical praise and sold out quickly, coaxing the family to add a few more Lilliputian vineyard blocks and upgrade the winery so that they could coax the highest possible quality out of the exceptional 'terroir.' They intend to remain a small, estate winery, with no more than a few hundred cases produced each year.

'This tiny 3-acre vineyard high in the Vaca Mountains, above the well-known luxury resort of Meadowood, boasts Aaron Pott as their winemaking consultant. The wines are fabulous, but, sadly, there are rarely more than 300 cases produced in each vintage.' Robert M. Parker Jr.

Wine AdvocateThe fabulous 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon is virtually all 100% new oak-aged Cabernet Sauvignon. A dense purple color is accompanied by smoky barbecue, charcoal, crème de cassis, coffee, chocolate and graphite notes. Full-bodied, opulent, fleshy and sensual, it can be consumed over the next 10-15 years. This tiny 3-acre vineyard high in the Vaca Mountains, above the well-known luxury resort of Meadowood, boasts Aaron Pott as their winemaking consultant. The wines are fabulous, but, sadly, there are rarely more than 300 cases produced in each vintage.

Wine SpectatorAn ultraripe style that pushes ripeness to the edge of prune without going over the top. Offers opulent and extracted plum, blackberry, blueberry and jam flavors, ending with ripe berry notes and extracted tannins. Drink now through 2028. 320 cases made.
