The Bottle Shop is proud to welcome esteemed whisky expert, Jim Patterson on Saturday, June 17, for a very special Father's Day Whisky Event. As the Whisky Ambassador for William Grant & Sons, Jim has traveled the world learning about and promoting top notch, classic whiskies. At the top of the whisky hierarchy stands The Balvenie distillery of Scotland. Located in Dufftown on Speyside, which is the Malt Whisky Capital of the World, The Balvenie grows their own barley in the classic fashion and keeps faith with a traditional malting floor, the last of its kind in the Scottish Highlands. Their resident coppersmith maintains the stills and a team of coopers ensures each barrel is in perfect condition. The Balvenie's world renowned Malt Master David Stewart presides over every aspect of the maturation process. He crafts a range of single malts where each expression is unique, but all are rich, luxuriously smooth and underpinned by a distinctive honeyed character. Understanding his craft like few others, David uses different cask types and ages of spirit, to develop exquisite, new interpretations of The Balvenie's classic character. We have tasted many whiskies from around the world, and The Balvenie is a shining example of quality and prestige.

We will taste multiple bottlings of The Balvenie, starting with the 12 Year Old Double Wood. We have the 14 Year Old Caribbean Cask, the 15 Year Old Single Barrel, the 17 and 21 Year Olds all in stock, and look forward to tasting with you all, and learning more.
