One of our greatest all-time wine trips was to the historic region of Alsace in the northeast of France. Our VIP guest's family has been producing wine in Alsace since 1639, and the region itself has made wine for more than 2,000 years. The Hugel's are perhaps the most important, and certainly the most famous, vineyard owners in this special appellation where the cobblestone villages and traditional boulangeries take you back to a far-away time. You will meet the young and passionate Jean-Frederic Hugel at this event. His enthusiasm for the future and respect for his family's history make him fascinating to speak with. The dry white wines of Alsace are coveted at Michelin restaurants throughout Europe, yet still find themselves needing education here in the USA.
