True American Classic by
Proud (Almost) Centenarian Mike Grgich
Grgich Hills Chardonnay & Cabernet On Sale

At 97, Mike Grgich is clearly one of California's most notable wine statesman. As the winemaker at Chateau Montelena, before he founded his own estate Grgich Hills, Mike received international attention at the celebrated 'Paris Tasting of 1976'. In a historic blind tasting, a panel of eminent French judges swirled, sniffed, and sipped an array of top white Burgundies of France and a small sampling of upstart Chardonnays from the Napa Valley. When their scores were tallied, the French judges were shocked: they had chosen the 1973 Chateau Montelena Chardonnay, crafted by Mike Grgich, as the finest white wine in the world. He proudly continues this legacy with his namesake Chardonnay, which we have a new vintage below, as well as his discreet and regal Napa Cab that is simultaneously powerful and fresh. It is one of our favorites. These are both terrific deals, too, so take advantage of this offer.

Cheers! the Murray family
