BLOWOUT SALE 2019!!!
Celebrating our 24th Year of Blowout Sale
AND -- OUR 30TH YEAR IN SPRING LAKE !!!!
We have a lot to celebrate in 2019! It has been 30 years since we came to Spring Lake and bought the landmark Bottle Shop. In its 70+ year history, this shop has only had 3 owners, and we are proud we brought the Bottle Shop to its fullest glory & integrity as its founders intended! Today we offer our 'famous' Blowout Sale, created 20+ years ago to help cure the 'January doldrums' in our little shore town. With the addition of online sales and shipping, the winter has improved, but we still enjoy putting this sale together and giving our loyal clients amazing deals to kick off the New Year!
NOTE ON SHIPPING: We will be shipping to NY, NJ, CT, PA and MD today for tomorrow Saturday; we will not ship Mon/Tues due to extreme temperatures; and we will resume shipping mid-week
Cheers! the Murray family

La Ferme de Gicon in the Rhône Valley is produced by a group of small family farms, who blend their grapes to produce classic wines in the region. This is their local Côtes-du-Rhône white, made in a crisp, dry, lively style, with apricot skin, peach, minerals and flowers in the nose and on the palate. Serve with salads, appetizers, seafood, white pizza, pickled carrots and cheeses. This is a total winner and a great price! |

Made by a small, traditional estate in Piedmont, Mariuccia Borio is a Barbera specialist who hand picks all the fruit and makes elegant classic wines (that’s her as a girl in the pink dress in the 1950’s---love it!). This is her Castlèt Rosé, a dry, but not too dry, ORGANIC Rosato. Serve with pork, chicken, pasta with tomato-based sauces, salmon, tuna or fine cheeses. |

RATED 90 VINOUS / GALLONI : 'Penetrating, spice-tinged scents of fresh blackberry, licorice, smoky minerals and violet. Silky and lively on the palate; flavors of fresh dark berries and spicecake show a suave floral quality. Smooth, forward and appealingly sweet, with a fine dusting of closing tannins and very good, spicy persistence.' |

RATED 94 JAMES SUCKLING : ORGANIC BIODYNAMIC : 'Some very stony and flinty aromas with graphite. Red and dark plums, too. Smells fresh and very complex already. The palate has great density and a fine, compressed tannin texture, as well as a very focused finish. Spiced black cherries and blackberries, cassis and dark chocolate to close. A captivatingly powerful but focused Morgon.' |

RATED 95 WINE ENTHUSIAST : 'Rather lush, with fig, boysenberry and black currant pâte de fruit notes at the fore, backed by singed spice, apple wood and charcoal details that lend balance. More flattering than austere in terms of style, with the fruit lingering in the end. Best from 2015 through 2024.' Wine Spectator |

ROBERT PARKER REPORTS : 'This is a tiny jewel of a vineyard (just over three acres) right in the heart of the Haut Brion vineyard. Not surprisingly, the wine is stunning. Made from 60% Cabernet Franc and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, with Stephane Derenoncourt as the consultant, as one might expect, this beauty has some of the character of the surrounding historic estate of Haut Brion.'

This stellar estate is planted to 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot and 13% Cabernet Franc, with an average age of 35+ year vines. Located next to Chateau Latour, the wines produced here are majestic, ageworthy, and traditional. A Second Growth of Saint Julien since the classification of 1855, Leoville Las Cases not only deserves this status, it is thought by many critics and collectors to be of the highest First Growth quality. It is also considered one of the longest lived wines in virtually every vintage, including 2007. |

RATED 98 JAMES SUCKLING : *Top 100 Wines of 2014* Compelling aromas of black fruits such as brambleberries, plus blueberries and fresh mushrooms. Asphalt, too. Forest fruits. The tannins just melt into the wine as you taste it. Aristocratic and regal in style and length. A powdery, fascinating texture. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink now, but better in 2017.' |

RATED 95+ VINOUS / GALLONI : 'Bryant's 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Bryant Family Vineyard is incredibly silky, polished and vibrant. Sweet red berries, mint, wild flowers and crushed rocks flow across the palate in an energetic, tense wine loaded with focus and cut. High-toned floral and savory notes add an attractive upper register to the finish. I won't be surprised if the 2011 flies under the radar for a while. Wines from this property have a way of developing beautifully in bottle.' |
