'The Values' Part 1
Bordeaux 2015 - 2016 - 2018
Rated 91-95 from $19.99/bottle

You know the expression, 'going back to your roots'? At the Bottle Shop, those roots are planted deeply within the Bordeaux region. Whether it was high end wines like Lafite and Petrus or value reds from petite chateaux, we always stocked a wide selection of Bordeaux for our local clients, and even gained a reputation up & down the east coast before the internet was born. These days we are still offering a vast line-up from up, down and all around the Gironde River, in every price point available. Today's offer includes 6 incredible wines from $19.99 - $36.99, from 3 vintages we love : 2015, 2016 and 2018. All 6 wines can be drunk now OR cellared. A couple highlights for you ... Chateau Commanderie in St. Estephe is located super close to Lafite & Montrose, and at $24.99 is beyond a steal. La Vieille Cure overlooks Pomerol and is the most sought after estate in Fronsac. And Fombrauge is one of our favorite Saint Emilions, made by the quality-obsessed Bernard Magrez. Overall, this is such a great opportunity to mix up a case, or buy a case of a recent favorite. Any questions, give us a call!

RATED 94 DECANTER : 'This is intense with tons of tar and cloves against the well-defined cassis fruits and lovely vibrant violet edging. The silky texture and legs indicate generous alcohol, but this is balanced, if on the larger side. It takes its time in the glass, at first a little overpowering, but it settles into itself and has been well handled offering good ageing potential. There were new owners as of harvest 2018, French entrepreneur Jérôme Pignard. Drink 2023 - 2040.'
