Our Decoy wine holds a unique position within the Duckhorn Wine Company. We started the brand in 1985 and quickly realized that it would play a supporting role in preserving the integrity of the Duckhorn Vineyards brand. The Decoy brand is not a second label. We do not source marginal or lower-cost fruit to produce a wine of high volume. Our Decoy wine is comprised of the declassified lots that have been culled out of our inventory. These lots represent fruit from young vines, vineyards which will be replanted, expiring grape contracts, research lots, or lots that don't demonstrate the style we are seeking. The Decoy wine is pleasant and ready to drink upon release. Our goal is to offer the Decoy Napa Valley Red Wine as a fine table wine at a moderate price. Visit the Decoy website.
