Château Pontet Canet![]()
In this south-western corner of France, "terroir" is everything; this is a french word, untranslatable, which means soil and micro-climate. Of almost equal importance is the vine, but the variety and clone is always chosen to suit the "terroir". For four generations, the Tesseron family have used their knowledge and skills to obtain the maximum from these two vital factors.
Respect for tradition are combined with modern technology and the all-important spirit and sensitivity of man.
Wine is one of those rare products which are a combination of nobility, tradition, science, and a certain indefinable quality... art, perhaps?
