Château Ausone![]()
Grand Cru Classé A.
7 hectares vineyard, planted with 50% merlot and 50% cabernet franc. The picking is manual, the wine is aged in 100% new barrels.
At present, and for already two years, some huge renovation works take place under the attentive control of Alain Vauthier, the owner of this marvelous chateau. Since 1901, no works had been realized for familial reasons, but now that Alain Vauthier runs this domain by himself,
he is determined to make it become the first of the Grands Crus Classés A.
Chapelle d’Ausone is the second wine of Château Ausone.
