Reichsgraf Von Kesselstatt Scharzhofberger Riesling Spatlese 2005
Positively delicious fruity Riesling here from a great German vintage. Look for aromas and flavors of peach, pear and salt spray, with a creamy but sleek and delicate medium-bodied palate. Wonderful fresh fruit acidity and minerality keep it lively, and a finish bordering on the opulent, offers more saline, fruit and spice.
Wine Spectator
Tangy, with lime, nectarine, vanilla custard and mineral notes in a rainbow of flavors. Well-structured, though the acidity is submerged now, with a lingering, vanilla-tinged finish. Drink now through 2018.
Score: 93.
