Nieto Senetiner Bonarda 2004
 |
|
BN#198959 |
LIMITED EDITION RED -- Only produced in the best vintages, we absolutely loved this big yet balanced red. The Bonarda grape is originally from Italy, but Argentina has amazing potential with this grape and this is a great example. Roasted fruits & meats, saddle leather & spices in the nose lead to more of the same in the mouth. Was terrific with Italian cheeses & olive tapenade!
Wine Advocate
Grapes for the 2004 Bonarda were sourced from a Lujan de Cuyo vineyard planted in 1975. The wine was aged for one year in French oak. Crimson-colored, it exhibits notes of tobacco, mushroom, smoke, black cherry, and black raspberry in its enticing bouquet. Medium-bodied, the wine is seamless, plush, and fruit forward. It is well-balanced and should provide pleasure over the next 6 years.
Score: 90.
