This is ripe, concentrated, polished and velvety, with layers of dark cherry, blackberry and mocha complimented by suave toast, vanilla and mineral notes. Long and fleshy through the finish, it has great tannic grip as well. Contains 7% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Viognier. Made from Apalta Vineyard fruit from very low yields, the wine spent 12 months French oak. Tasted and positively loved by our staff with Beef & Potato Empanadas and Grilled Skirt Steaks.
Wine Spectator
Richly layered, with ambitiously styled fig, mocha, espresso and bittersweet cocoa, backed by a lush beam of boysenberry fruit. Fleshy and toasty through the finish, with the dark fruit lingering well in the background. Drink now through 2010.

The 2006 Alpha Syrah Apalta Vineyard is purple colored with an enticing nose of game, espresso, earth, and blueberry. This leads to an elegantly-styled Syrah with spicy blue and black fruit flavors, good depth, and a fruit-filled finish. Enjoy it over the next 4-6 years.

Touching up against syrupy, this ultra-rich style of Syrah from Apalta in Colchagua is pumped full of coconut, barrel char and deep berry fruit. It’s a saturated Syrah with palate-coating berry, vanilla and spice flavors. It’s also slightly candied and immensely ripe. Finishes with barrel notes, chocolate and thickness.
