Look for exuberant fruit, intense flavors, deep color and great length. The fruit is sourced from Sarah and Sparky Marquis' Shiraz vineyards in McLaren Vale, Padthaway and Langhorne Creek. 2005 was the first vintage of Mollydooker wines and created a frenzy among Australian and California wine drinkers because of the unabashed intensity and great ratings of these reasonably priced offerings. Sarah and Sparky Marquis were the brain trust and winemaking team behind the Marquis Philips line, also from Australia.
Wine Advocate
Very deep garnet-purple colored, the 2010 The Boxer Shiraz has notes of warm blackberries and blueberries with nuances of menthol, some spice cake, anise and bacon fat. Concentrated, big, rich and ripe, it offers a very spicy palate with some licorice and cumin seed coming through, supported by a medium level of velvety tannins, lively acidity and finishing very long. Drink it now to 2017+.

Fresh and vibrant, this delivers a lively mouthful of dark cherry, mocha and bay leaf flavors that linger on the firm finish. Best after 2013. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 37,139 cases made.
