Made of 100% Syrah, this rich yet elegant red from the Cote Rotie appellation in the Rhone Valley, has notes of black and red fruits, spices, vanilla and black pepper. It is a perfect match with grilled meats, especially steaks and lamb. Domaine Guy Bernard is a small, quality-driven domaine which is well-known in Europe for its delicious, terroir-driven wines. Guy Bernard was the 3rd generation Bernard to run the estate and now his sons, Frederic and Stephane, have taken over since 2000. They are considered to be among the rising stars of Cote Rotie. Their vineyards are mainly on the southern Cote Blonde sector of the appellation and consequently the wines are generous and friendly upon release with a serious structure underneath for aging.
