Errazuriz Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc 2006

BN#210062 |
Don Maximiano Errazuriz founded Viña Errazuriz in 1870 in the Aconcagua Valley, 65 miles north of the capital, Santiago. Recognizing that this valley, with its hot, dry summers and moist Pacific Ocean breezes, was ideal for growing grapes, Don Maximiano sent for the finest clones from France and with tenacity and perseverance transformed this barren land into a world-class vineyard. Today, the tradition of quality lives on with Don Maximiano's descendant, Eduardo Chadwick. Eduardo is the fifth generation of his family to lead this exceptional estate.
This refreshing dessert wine expresses a number of ripe fruits on the nose, such as apricot and pear, interlaced with subtle orange zest notes. Well integrated soft, sweet oak plays gently against this background. On the palate there is a full and unctuous quality with a beautiful texture that coats the tongue. The acidity balances the wine and produces a lovely harmony between the sweet notes and lively character of the wine.
