Errazuriz Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2010
BN#412262 |
Made of 100% hand-harvested Sauvignon Blanc which is cold-fermented and ‘aged sur-lie’ for up to 3 months in French oak barrels, this wine has a vibrant and refreshing dry style with a zingy lemon citrus fruit character. It is perfect for serving with fresh seafood dishes, especially white fish with lemony sauces, or with green salads topped with fresh goat's milk cheeses. Errazuriz was founded in 1870 by Don Maximiano Errazuriz, who sourced the finest grape clones from France, and with tenacity and perseverance transformed a barren land into a world-class vineyard. Today, the tradition lives on with Eduardo Chadwick, the fifth generation of his family to lead this exceptional estate. In the International Wine and Spirit Competition in the U.K., they were also awarded Chilean Wine Producer of the Year in 2008.
Wine Advocate
The current releases include 5 white wines beginning with the 2010 Sauvignon Blanc. It offers up attractive herbal aromas along with notions of melon and fresh cut grass. In the glass it reveals excellent depth and concentration followed by a crisp, refreshing finish. Drink this excellent value over the next 12-18 months.
