Wonderful high red fruit, licorice and cherry vanilla aromas lead to bright acid and ripe fruit balance in the mouth. This is traditionally made with exceptional quality from a small estate in Piedmont. Winemaker Mariuccia Borio is a Barbera specialist and farms her vineyards organically. This is elegant and complex. Amazing with many foods, especially tomato-based sauces, chicken and fishes. Try with grilled octupus for an extra special culinary treat.

This 2008 is the best vintage we have tasted over the last 10 years. Full, supple, concentrated yet bright, this beauty has the acidity to stand up to a full range of Italian dishes. Violet, roses and ripe red fruits in the nose lead to more of the same in the mouth.
