BN#267679 |
|
Made of 80% Sangiovese, 10% Canaiolo and 10% Colorino, this delightful Tuscan red is named Grilli di Testamatta, which means 'Hothead’s Whims'. The young vines are planted in the clay and schist-rich soils overlooking the city of Florence, surrounded by olives and with full southern exposure.
Wine Spectator
There's beautiful fruit in this wine, with berry, chocolate, and Indian spices. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a long, flavorful finish. This has loads of fruit, yet it's refined and balanced. Sangiovese, Colorino and Canaiolo. Best after 2011.
Score: 92.
