Bodegas Emilio Moro Malleolus de Sanchomartin 2004
Wine Advocate
The 2004 Malleolus de Sancho Martin comes from a single vineyard planted in 1964. It was aged for 22 months in new French oak. Even more expressive aromatically, it offers a beautiful perfume of spice box, vanilla, lead pencil, red and black currants and blackberry liqueur. Sweet, supple, and layered on the palate, it has terrific concentration and balance. Give this superb effort 6-8 years of cellaring and drink it through 2032.

Wine Spectator
As if chiseled from granite, this massively structured red is powerful and unyielding. But beneath the tannins are rich, expressive flavors of blackberry, licorice, tobacco, espresso and mineral, and even floral and citrus notes. Excellent balance and a clean finish leave the wine in elegant focus. Best after 2009.
