Château Gigault Cuvee Viva 2005
Wine Spectator
Impressive aromas of tar, berry and currant follow through to medium- to full-bodied palate, with silky tannins and a long finish. Solid as usual.
Score: 91.

Wine Advocate
A lush, seductive bouquet of black cherries, licorice, roasted herbs, and spice jumps from the glass of this dark ruby/purple-tinged 2005 Gigault. Medium-bodied with heady glycerin, loads of fruit, beautiful purity, and no hard edges, it should be drunk over the next 3-4 years.
Score: 89.
