The nicely-textured, full-bodied, fleshy 1997 Isosceles Reserve (a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Cabernet Franc, and 17% Merlot) is ripe and jammy, with a touch of volatile acidity as well as spicy new oak. It cuts a large swath across the palate. This well-balanced and richly fruity wine should age well for 10-12 years.
