Château Trotanoy Pomerol 2000
Wine Enthusiast
This is likely to be one of the most long-lived Pomerol from 2000. It has hugely rich fruit, it is has great density. But what will give it its longevity is the layer of tannin that sits, brooding, in the middle of the wine. Don't even attempt to drink before 2012.

Wine Spectator
Aromas of barley, crushed berry and olives turn to flowers and blackberries. Full-bodied, with smooth and succulent tannins and a long berry, vanilla aftertaste. Fantastic. Lovely Trot here.
Score: 93.

Wine Advocate
I don't think this wine will ever live up to the extraordinary 1998, but it is not far off the mark. Dense plum/garnet-colored, it is closed aromatically, but aeration brings out hints of figs, black cherries, earth, and cedar. Sweet on the attack, dense, powerful, medium to full-bodied, and tannic, with a broodingly backward finish, patience will be required. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2030.
